Privacy Policy


This Privacy Policy applies to Spetz Ltd (herein referred to as “the Company”) and describes how the Company and its affiliates collects and uses personal information in the Company’s  apps, websites, software, features or other services anywhere in the world.(herein described as “the System”).

All those subject to this policy are herein referred to as “the User” for purposes of this Privacy Policy.

All those mentioned in this policy who use the System to receive a service and/ or answer a need or question are herein referred to as “the Consumer”.

All those mentioned in this policy who use the System in order to receive a call for their service and/ or expertise are herein referred to as “the Specialist”.


Information the System works with

The System collects:

  • Information that the User provides to the System, such as when the User creates their account.
  • Information created when the User uses the System.
  • Information from other sources, such as the Company’s partners and third parties that use the Systems APIs
  • Information collected constantly by the System from Users.

Information provided by the User

This may include:

  • User profile: The Company collects information when the User creates or updates their account.
    (This may include their name, email, phone number, login name and password, address, payment or banking information (including related payment verification information) and includes the preferences and settings that they enable for their account.)
  • Demographic data: The Company may collect demographic information about the User, including through the location of the User.
  • User content: The Company may collect information that the User submits when they contact the Company such as through the Business Centre for customer support and or ratings.

Payment Information

The System collects payment details from Users related to their use of the System.

Usage information 

The Company collects information about how the User interacts with the System. This includes information such as access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and third-party sites or services that were being used before interacting with the System. In some cases the Company collects this information through cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers. {Cookie Statement}

Information from other sources

These may include:
  • User feedback, such as ratings or compliments.
  • Users providing their information in connection with referral programs.
  • Users or others providing information in connection with claims or disputes.
  • Partner service provider or professional companies (such as a Specialist who uses the System through an account associated with such a company).
  • Publicly available sources.
  • Marketing service providers.

How the Company Uses Information

The Company also uses the information that is collected:
  • To enhance the safety and security of the Users and the System
  • For customer support
  • For research and development
  • To enable communications to or between users
  • To provide promotions or contests
  • In connection with legal proceedings
The Company does not sell or share Consumer or Specialist personal information to third parties for third party direct marketing purposes.

Providing services and features

1. Service delivery
The Company uses the information that is collected to provide, personalize, maintain and improve the System products and services. This includes using the information to:
  • Match Consumers to Specialists.
  • Create and Update the Users account.
  • Enable Specialists services, deliveries, and other services. This includes automated processing of the User’s information to enable the System to process a Consumer request.
  • Enable features that allows the sharing of information with other people, such as when the Consumer submits a rating for a Specialist.
  • Enable features to personalize the User’s account, such as an image gallery to showcase their work.
  • Enable Accessibility features that make it easier for users with disabilities to use the Systems services, such as Voice Recognition which enables those who are partially sighted or blind Consumers to receive Specialist services.
  • Perform internal operations necessary to provide the Systems services, including to troubleshoot software bugs and operational problems, to conduct data analysis, testing, and research, and to monitor and analyze usage and activity trends.
2. Safety and security
To maintain the integrity of the System. This includes, for example:
Using user ratings to encourage improvement by affected users, and as grounds for deactivating users with ratings below a certain level.
3. Customer support
The Company uses information (including recordings of customer support calls after notice to the User and with his or her consent) to assist customer support services, including to:
  • Direct the User’s questions to the appropriate customer support person or business center
  • Investigate and address his or her concerns
  • Monitor and improve the Company customer support responses
4. Research and development
The Company may use the information collected for testing, research and product development. This allows the Company to improve and enhance services, develop new features and products
5. Communications among users
The Company uses the information collected to enable communications. For example a Consumer who requires a Specialist will have their name and phone number along with their request sent to a Specialist.
6. Communications from the Company
The Company may use the information collected to communicate with the User about products, services, promotions, studies, surveys, news, updates and events.
7. Legal proceedings and requirements
The Company may use the information collected to investigate or address claims or disputes relating to the use of the System, or as otherwise allowed by applicable law, or as requested by regulators, government entities, and official inquiries.

Cookies and Third Party Technologies

The System and its partners use cookies and other identification technologies and algorithms on its apps, websites, emails, and online ads for purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your browser or device by websites, apps, online media, and advertisements. The System uses cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:
  • Authenticating users
  • Remembering user preferences and settings
  • Determining the popularity of content
  • Delivering and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
  • Analyzing site traffic and trends, and generally understanding the online behaviors and interests of people who interact with the System. 
    The Company may also allow others to provide audience measurement and analytics services for us, to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet, and to track and report on the performance of those advertisements. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and other technologies to identify the User’s device when he or she uses the System.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Some of the Company products, services and features require that information with other users is shared at the Consumer and/ or the Specialists request. The Company may also share information with its affiliates, subsidiaries and business partners, for legal reasons or in connection with claims or disputes.
The Company may share the information collected:
1. With other users
For example, the company may share the rating of the Specialists provided by Consumers; total number of jobs completed; for how long the Specialist has been using the System; and contact information (depending upon applicable laws). If the Specialist chooses to complete a Specialist profile, the Company may also share any information associated with that profile, including information the Specialist submits and ratings that past Consumers have submitted about the Specialist. 
2. At the User’s request

This includes sharing information about the User with
  1. Company Business Partners. For example, if the User requested a service through a partnership or promotional offering made by a third party, the Company may share his or her information with those third parties. This may include, for example, other apps or websites that integrate with the System APIs, service providers or professionals suppliers, or services, or those with an API or service with which the Company integrates, or business partners with whom the Company may partner with to deliver a promotion, a contest or a specialized service.
  2. With the general public when the User submits content to a public forum
  3. With the owner of the Specialist account that the User may use
  4. With subsidiaries and affiliates of the Company 
  5. With service providers and business partners of the company
The Company may provide information to its vendors, consultants, marketing partners, research firms, and other service providers or business partners. This may include, for example:
  • Payment processors and facilitators.
  • Cloud storage providers.
  • Marketing partners and marketing platform providers.
  • Data analytics providers.
  • Research partners, including those performing surveys or research projects in partnership with the Company or on the Company’s behalf.
  • Vendors that assist the Company to enhance the safety and security of its apps.
  • Consultants, lawyers, accountants and other professional service providers.
  • Tradespeople and other local providers.
  • Service providers and professional partners.
3. For legal reasons or in the event of a dispute
The Company may share the User’s information if it is required by applicable law, regulation, operating agreement, legal process or governmental request, or where the disclosure is otherwise appropriate due to safety or similar concerns.
This also includes sharing the User’s information with others in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of business by or into another company.
4. With consent
The Company may share Consumer and/or Specialist information described in this policy if the Company with the consent of the Consumer and the Specialist which is given to the Company when a User uses the System.

Information Retention and Deletion

Users may request deletion of his or her account at any time. Following such request, the Company deletes the information that it is not required to retain, and restricts access to or use of any information it is required to retain.
The System requires user profile information in order to provide services, and retains such information for as long the User maintains the account.
The Company retains certain information, including transaction, location, information, for a minimum of 7 years in connection with regulatory, tax, insurance and other requirements in the places in which it operates. Once such information is no longer necessary to provide the System services, enable customer support, enhance the user experience or other operational purposes, the Users information will be deleted.
The Company takes steps to prevent access to or use of such information for any purpose other than compliance with these requirements or for purposes of safety, security and fraud prevention and detection.
Deletion of the Users account can be done at any time through the Privacy Settings via the System.
Following such request, the System deletes the information that it is not required to retain. In certain circumstances, the System may be unable to delete the Users account, such as if there is an outstanding credit on the specialist account or an unresolved claim or dispute. Upon resolution of the issue preventing deletion, the System will delete the Users account as described above.
The Company may also retain certain information if necessary for its legitimate business interests, such as fraud prevention and enhancing users’ safety and security. For example, if the Company shuts down a user’s account because of unsafe behavior or security incidents, the Company may retain certain information about that account to prevent that user from opening a new User account in the future.

Special Information for EU Users

Beginning May 25, 2018, the processing of personal data of users in the European Union is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
This section summarizes the Company’s grounds for processing personal information under the GDPR, and the rights of EU users as relates to the Company’s handling of personal information.
Beginning May 25, 2018, the processing of personal data of users in the European Union is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’). This section provides information as relates to EU users’ rights, and the Company’s responsibilities, under this regulation.

1. EU User Rights

Within the EU, Users have the following rights with respect to the handling of their personal information. Users outside the EU may also request explanation, correction, deletion or copies of their personal data.

a. Explanation and copies of your data

  • The User has the right to request an explanation of the information that the Company has about them and how the Company uses that information.
  • The User also has the right to receive a copy of the information that the Company collects about them if collected on the basis of consent or because the System requires the information to provide the services of the System.

b. Correction

  • If the Company has information about the User that he or she believes is inaccurate, he or she has the right to request correction of his or her information. 

c. Deletion

  • Users may request deletion of his or her account at any time. Users may request deletion through the Privacy Settings menu in the System. The Company may retain certain information about the User as required by law and for legitimate business purposes permitted by law.

d. Objections and complaints

  • Users in the EU have the right to object to the Company’s processing of personal data, including for marketing purposes based on profiling and/or automated decision making. The Company may continue to process their information notwithstanding the objection to the extent permitted under GDPR.
  • Users in the EU also have the right to file a complaint relating to the Company’s handling of their personal information with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Their contact information is as follows:

 2. Grounds for Processing

The GDPR requires that companies processing the personal data of EU users do so    on the basis of specific legal grounds. As described below, the Company processes the information of EU users based on one or more of the grounds specified under the GDPR:

a. The processing is necessary to provide the services and features you request

The Company must collect and use certain information in order to provide its services through the System.
This includes:
  • User profile information that is necessary to establish and maintain the User account to enable communications for service calls, orders and accounts.
  • Specialist Information, which is necessary to match Consumers with Specialists.
  • Transaction information and amount of available budget in the Specialist’s account, which is necessary to generate and maintain in connection with use of the System.
  • Usage information, which is necessary to maintain, optimize and enhance the System’s services, including to determine, sometimes in combination with other information, incentives, connect Specialists and Consumers, and calculate remaining budget available to the Specialist.

b. The processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of users or of others

The Company may process personal information, including disclosing data with law enforcement authorities in case of threats to the safety of users or of others.

c. The processing is necessary for the Company’s legitimate interests

The Company collects and uses personal information to the extent necessary for its legitimate interests. This includes collecting and using information:
  • To inform law enforcement officials regarding criminal acts or threats to public safety.
  • To provide Consumer support.
  • To optimize our service and develop new services. This includes, for example, recommending (new) features, improving services, and enhancing pricing and matching Specialists to Consumers.
  • For research and analytical purposes. This includes, for example, analyzing usage trends to improve the user experience and enhance the safety and security of the System’s services.
  • For direct marketing purposes. This includes, for example, analyzing data to identify trends and tailor marketing messages to user needs.

d. The processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of other persons or parties

The Company collects and uses personal information to the extent necessary for the interests of other persons or the general public. This includes sharing information in connection with legal or insurance claims, to protect the rights and safety of others.
The Company may also process personal information when necessary in regards to a substantial public interest, on the basis of applicable laws.

e. The processing is necessary to fulfill the Company’s legal obligations

The Company is subject to legal requirements in the jurisdictions in which it operates that are required to collect, process, disclose and retain the Users personal data.
The Company may also share information with law enforcement, or requests by third parties pursuant to legal processes.

f. Consent

The Company may collect and use information on the basis of the User’s consent. The User may revoke his or her consent at any time but will not be able to continue to use the System.
The Company relies on the consent of a User in connection with data collections or uses that are necessary to enhance the user experience, to enable optional services or features, or to communicate with Users. Data collections or uses are done on the basis of the consent of the User.

The Company may also collect personal information about you through voluntary surveys. Your responses to such surveys are collected on the basis of consent, and will be deleted once no longer necessary for the purposes collected.

Choice and Transparency

The Company provides means for its Users to see and control the information that the Company collects for the System to operate.
The User may also request that the Company provides him or her with an explanation, copy or correction of his or her data.
The Privacy Settings menu in the System gives users the ability to set or update his or her skills, availability and location willing to travel to and contacts sharing preferences, and their preferences for receiving mobile notifications from the System. Information on these settings, how to set or change these settings, and the effect of turning off these settings are described below.
After every job, Consumers are able to rate Specialists, as well as give feedback on how the job went. Accountability helps create a respectful environment for the System’s users.
The Specialist rating is available in the main menu of the System.
The User may request that the Company:
  • Provides a detailed explanation regarding the information the Company has collected about the User and how it uses that information.
  • Receive a copy of the information the Company has collected about the User.
  • Request correction of any inaccurate information that the Company has about the User.
The User can make these requests by contacting the Company on the Contact Page.
The User can also edit the name, phone number and email address associated with their account through the Settings menu in the system
The User may opt out of receiving promotional emails from the Company by following the instructions in those messages. Please note that if the User opts out, the System may still send non-promotional messages, such as information about the User’s account.

Updates To This Policy

The Company may occasionally update this policy. If the Company makes significant changes, the Company will notify the User of any changes through the System or through others means, such as email.
To the extent permitted under applicable law, by using the System after such notice, the User consents to any updates to this policy. The User is encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy for the latest information on the Company’s privacy practices.
